Attention Parents: With the additional winter weather, we feel it is best to close school for the remainder of the week. We will not require students to do work or assignments during this time. The school will start back on Monday, Feb 22. Be safe, stay warm, and we will see you on Monday.

After some questions by students and parents, Shady Point Schools wants everybody to know the following: Due to current weather conditions, students are not expected to take part in virtual learning and are not required to complete work remotely.

Attention Parents: Shady Point schools will not be school Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, February 15, 16, and 17. Severe weather will affect travel, and we want to ensure the safety of our students. We will evaluate future days as the week unfolds. Take the time to enjoy this unexpected break in our school year. Rest, recharge, and we will see you on Thursday (Hopefully).

Attentions Parents Shady Point Schools will be out of school tomorrow February 11 and Friday February 12. We expect the winter weather to continue throughout the weekend. We have a scheduled virtual day on Monday February 15. We will return to school on February 16 weather permitting. Be save and enjoy the time together.

Every year we select students to be graduates of distinction and honor for the 8th-grade class. Dear Parents, Today we had an issue with a student bringing a weapon to school. While this weapon was not a firearm, it still posed a safety threat to our students. The incident was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the administration. At no point was any student in any danger. I wanted to make sure you were all aware of this situation and let you know that our students' safety (your children) is our primary responsibility. Attention Parents: We are making a slight change to our calendar. The virtual day on January 18th will be moved to January 15th. This change means there will be no school for students on the 15th. However, the school will be in session on the 18th. Thanks

Hello Warrior family We are needing some help out with food and volunteers for the Archery tournament Friday the 15th & Saturday the 16th. Things are going to be different this year. We are going to be doing 6 foot subs (not quite sure how many just yet but will need enough for 2 days and they are $40 each) so for the subs we are taking money donations so we can get them all at once. You can drop your money donations and supplies off in the school office. Here is a list of what is needed and volunteer time spots. Just comment what you can provide and the times you can help. Thank you *Money donations for subs *Variety bag of individual bags of chips *Cookies & brownies(can be homemade or store bought) *Cases of canned pop (need a variety) *Cases of bottled water *Vegtable tray *Fruit tray *Donuts (Need about 3-4 dozen for Saturday morning) *Juice for Saturday morning Volunteer time spots (2 volunteers at each time spot) Friday 12pm-2pm: 2pm-4pm: 4pm-6pm: Spot filled Saturday 8am-10am: Spot filled 10am-12pm: 12pm-2pm: 2pm-4pm: 4pm-6pm: We will also need some volunteers to help set up both days and help clean up both days.

Attention Parents: With the current weather conditions and the likelihood that the roads will refreeze by morning. We will transition to a virtual day tomorrow 12/14/2020. Pk-4's packets will be available when they return to school. Grades 5-8 check your google classroom for assignments. Be safe.

Attention Parents. Pictures that were scheduled for tomorrow 12/7 have been rescheduled to Jan. 7th, 2021. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will have some staff and students out due to covid and we want everyone in our group pictures.

Attention Pictures are Monday. Just wanted to remind you that group pictures and retakes are Monday 12/7/2020. Virtual Students if you want a picture you need to come up first thing so we can get that taken care of.

We regret to inform you that due to the number of staff we have that are in quarantine, we are closing school starting tomorrow 11/13/2020 OUR QUARANTINE WILL NOW COVER ALL GRADES AND STUDENTS. This quarantine will carry us into the Thanksgiving break, and students will return to school on November 30th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. These actions must be taken to ensure our students' safety. Packets are available as follows: PK Packets for next week were sent home with the students. K-4 Packets will be available Monday November 16 in the afternoon. 5-8 Digital homework or paper packets will be available for pickup Monday November 16 in the afternoon. Attention Parents Tonight's 7th and 8th grade basketball games are canceled.

Attention Parents: We regret to inform you that we have a positive case of COVID-19 in our third and fourth-grade classrooms. We will be adding the third and fourth grades to our quarantine list. OUR QUARANTINE WILL NOW COVER FIRST, THIRD, AND FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS. This quarantine will carry us into the Thanksgiving break, and students will return to school on November 30th. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. These actions must be taken to ensure our students' safety. We have notified all parents who have quarantined students. If you have not been notified, your student is not affected. Instruction for this class will consist of packets. These packets will be available on Wednesday, November 11th, and again on Monday, November 16th. If students have a sibling, we can send the packet home with them, or you can pick it up at your convenience these days. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through this situation. If you have any questions, please call the office.

This year we are taking a break from many of our standard procedures, including this year's veteran's day assembly. We feel to ensure our students' safety and our veterans, that is best not to have an in-person program this year. We will be celebrating veterans and those that served our nation in our classrooms and by joining a live stream of the wreath-laying ceremony at the Arlington National Cemetery on November 11th at 10:00 AM.
