At its most recent meeting, the Shady Point Board of Education honored Derek Woodral for his years of service following his announcement that he is retiring as board president.
Mr. Woodral has served on the board for nearly a decade, helping guide the district through numerous changes. His service included two bond issues and improvements such as the gym remodel, construction of the track, and construction of the safe room.
“As a board member and, most recently, board president, Mr. Woodral has worked alongside his fellow board members to provide oversight and guide the district’s direction,” Dr. Bruce Gillham said.
We are grateful for Mr. Woodral’s leadership, dedication, and commitment to Shady Point Public Schools. We have been honored to have him serve on our board, and he will always be a member of our Warrior family.
