Shady Point Recognizes Mr. Isaac Burris as Arvest Teacher of the Year
Shady Point, OK – Shady Point Public Schools is proud to announce that Mr. Isaac Burris, Middle School Social Studies Teacher, has been selected as the school’s Arvest Teacher of the Year as part of Arvest Bank’s 10th annual We Love Teachers campaign.
As part of this recognition, Mr. Burris will receive a $500 award to support classroom needs.
Now in his fifth year with the district, Mr. Burris has distinguished himself through academic excellence, strong leadership, and a commitment to inclusive education. He is recognized for thoughtfully adapting and modifying curriculum to meet the diverse learning needs of his students, ensuring that every student is supported and challenged.
In addition to his classroom excellence, Mr. Burris founded Shady Point’s E-Sports program, which has provided students with new opportunities for teamwork, competition, and skill development in a dynamic, engaging environment.
“Mr. Burris exemplifies what it means to be an educator who goes above and beyond for students,” said Dr. Gillham, Superintendent of Shady Point Public Schools. “His ability to connect with students, foster a sense of belonging, and inspire academic curiosity makes him truly deserving of this recognition.
