A team of dedicated Warrior teachers recently completed a four-day intensive training experience aimed at enhancing their skills in supporting students with autism. The training, facilitated by Educational Consultants from the Oklahoma Autism Center, provided hands-on opportunities to engage with evidence-based strategies and supports specifically designed for young children on the autism spectrum.

Participants worked directly with the Early Foundations Model & Demonstration Site, which serves children from 18 months to 4 years of age. This immersive experience enabled educators to deepen their understanding of effective interventions and classroom practices tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with autism.

The training was made available at no cost to the district through the generous support of the Oklahoma State Department of Education and the Oklahoma Autism Center.

“We are all looking forward to sharing the knowledge and experiences with our faculty and staff,” said a team representative. “We are excited to utilize the skills we learned to strengthen our program for students facing challenges.”
